Eastern Medicine Guide explains the theories and cultural practices of traditional Chinese medicine in plain English. This page describes how we write, source, and correct our content.

What we publish

We publish educational material about TCM frameworks: meridians, acupoints, the organ clock, body constitutions, tongue inspection, and food-therapy customs. We also publish interactive tools that help readers explore those frameworks.

We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. We do not sell healthcare services, and we do not claim that any traditional practice prevents or cures disease.

How we source

How we write and review

Drafting may be assisted by software, but every page is edited against the sources above before publication. Pages are reviewed for compliance with our medical disclaimer: no diagnosis, no treatment claims, and no suggestion that a traditional practice replaces medical care.

We aim to have content reviewed by a licensed acupuncture practitioner (L.Ac.) as the site develops. Pages that have received such review will say so explicitly. We will not claim professional review that has not happened.

Corrections

If you find an error, please email hello@easternmedicineguide.com. We will correct substantive errors and note the update on the page. Corrections are welcome, including from practitioners who disagree with our presentation of a tradition.

Advertising and affiliates

The site currently carries no advertising and no affiliate links. If that changes, advertising will appear only on content pages, not on interactive health tools; affiliate relationships will be disclosed clearly at the point of the link. Advertising never influences editorial content.

Health data

Our interactive tools run in your browser. We do not ask for an email address to use them, and we do not store your selections. See our privacy policy for details.

Educational disclaimer. This page presents traditional Chinese medicine theory for cultural and educational purposes only. It is not medical advice, does not diagnose or treat any condition, and is not a substitute for care from a licensed healthcare provider. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
